“THE ROSE”

('NAPOLEON DYNAMITE' 20TH ANNIVERSARY RECORDING)

It may have originally been made famous by Bette Midler, but it's Darci Monet's voice singing a 60-second clip of "The Rose" in the 2004 smash indie film "Napoleon Dynamite" during an early scene in the film. Even though she was never credited (nor paid any residuals) for her work, Darci's vocal is center stage as the members of the Happy Hands Club perform (likely incorrect) ASL along to the song in front of a class of their fellow students. To this day, it remains one of the most memorable scenes in the film. In celebration of this pop culture phenomenon's 20th anniversary this year and her part in it, Darci decided to record a full length version of the iconic ballad. Please enjoy...and don't forget to vote for Pedro! GAWSH!
